Starovic, German ambassador discuss Serbia's EU integration, German development aid

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic met with German Ambassador to Belgrade Anke Konrad on Thursday to discuss the EU integration process, the significance of German development aid to Serbia and bilateral cooperation.

Starovic noted that Germany, as one of Serbia's most significant bilateral donors and development partners, was providing continued support for reform processes, institutional capacity-building, advancement of rule of law, environmental protection and sustainable economic development, the Ministry of European Integration said in a statement.

Thanking Germany for the cooperation to date, Starovic noted that German development aid had contributed significantly to Serbia's modernisation and its progress on the path to EU membership.

The parties confirmed a mutual commitment to further advancement of partnership relations and continued cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
