Vucic, OSCE secretary general discuss situation in region and Europe, OSCE's role

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Monday in Belgrade with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu to discuss current security and political challenges in the region and Europe, as well as the OSCE's role in preserving peace, security and mutual trust.
"We discussed continuation of cooperation, implementation of reforms, advancement of the electoral process and strengthening of democratic institutions. I noted that Serbia remains consistently committed to a responsible and serious policy based on respect for international law, dialogue and preservation of peace," Vucic posted on Instagram.
He added that they had also discussed the situation in the region, agreeing that stability and a responsible approach were key for the future of the Western Balkans.
"I am confident that only a responsible relationship, mutual respect and consistent compliance with undertaken commitments can contribute to strengthening of trust and to a more secure future for all citizens," Vucic noted.
