BELGRADE - After meeting with Czech PM Andrej Babis in Belgrade on Thursday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed the confidence the upcoming EXPO 2027 in Belgrade would be an opportunity to showcase innovation, connect the Serbian and Czech economies and open up new opportunities for joint projects.
At the Palace of Serbia, Vucic and Babis discussed opportunities to advance further the economic cooperation between Serbia and Czechia, with special emphasis on forging ties between companies, on new investment opportunities and on strengthening bilateral economic ties.
"We also exchanged views on Serbia's European path, as well as on the need to jointly respond to the challenges of illegal migration, and expressed the belief that responsibility, good coordination and cooperation are key for preserving stability," Vucic posted on Instagram.
Vucic thanked Babis for confirming Czechia's participation in EXPO 2027.
Babis, who is on a two-day visit to Serbia, met with PM Djuro Macut earlier in the day.
