BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a farewell visit from Hungarian Ambassador to Belgrade Jozsef Magyar on Monday.

"A cordial and substantial discussion with Hungarian Ambassador Jozsef Magyar, whom I thanked for his commitment, personal engagement and significant contribution to advancement of the relations between our countries during his diplomatic term in Serbia," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

He noted that Serbia-Hungary relations were at an all-time high and based on mutual trust, respect and sincere friendship between the two nations.

"We devoted special attention to strategic partnership and to forging further ties in the energy sector, infrastructure and the economy, as well as to carrying out projects of mutual interest. Serbia highly appreciates Hungary's consistent support for our European path and its contribution to preservation of peace, stability and regional prosperity. I am confident that we will continue to strengthen ties and open up new opportunities to the benefit of the citizens of both countries," the president added.

Vucic wished the ambassador much success in his future work and thanked him for everything he has done to bring Serbia and Hungary closer.
