Serbian gov't decides to start work on foreign policy strategy

BELGRADE - At a session also attended by President Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian government decided to start work on a strategic foreign policy document that will precisely define Serbia's relations with other countries, the government press service announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, it said the document would be aimed at respect for Serbia's partners and friends that unequivocally supported its territorial integrity and acted in that manner in all international organisations in keeping with international law.

Serbia's future foreign policy strategy will take bilateral relations into account and will not go beyond the boundaries of reciprocity, it was agreed at the session.

"The new document will introduce deep and substantial changes, in line with a responsible attitude towards our country, and respect of international law will be in the first paragraph of that strategy," the statement said.
