Vucic presents Serbia's EXPO 2027 vision to bin Zayed

BELGRADE - At Thursday's meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented Serbia's vision for the specialised EXPO 2027.

"I presented Serbia's vision for the EXPO 2027 and plans for the largest-ever international event to be hosted by our country. I am especially glad the UAE will be among the participants of the expo that will bring the world together in Belgrade in 2027," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

He added that he was convinced the event would be an opportunity to present ideas, innovation and Serbia's potential to the world, as well as to open a new chapter of cooperation with partners from around the world. Vucic noted that the discussion with bin Zayed had continued in a pleasant and cordial atmosphere, accompanied by the traditional Serbian hospitality.

"We looked back on the results we have achieved in the past years and exchanged views on new possibilities for further development of cooperation. The numerous projects we have carried out confirm how much we can achieve when there is a shared vision and when there are clear goals," Vucic posted.

Vucic welcomes UAE president in Belgrade

BELGRADE - UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan - one of the most prominent figures in world politics - arrived in Serbia on Thursday amid the Middle East crisis, which has hit his country, too.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed bin Zayed at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport.

"It is my special honour to be able to welcome my dear friend Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan again. Our every encounter is a confirmation of the closeness between our countries, as well as of a personal friendship that we have been building for years and that is based on mutual respect, trust and a shared desire to continue to strengthen cooperation," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post that also included a video of the welcome for the UAE president.

Today, the friendship between Serbia and the UAE represents much more than good relations between two countries, he noted.

"It is a confirmation that, through sincere respect, mutual understanding and firm ties, friendships that last, and become even stronger year by year, are built. Welcome to Serbia, friend," Vucic posted.
