BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Wednesday Pristina's court summonses for Srpska lista officials represented a continuation of pressure on Kosovo-Metohija Serbs.

"(Albin) Kurti will stop at nothing in his desire to break down the Serbs and leave them without their legitimate representatives in order to continue his terror against our people together with (Kosovo-Metohija Serb politician Nenad) Rasic," Petkovic posted on X.

He noted that this would not be allowed to happen and that proceedings against Srpska lista leaders were proof that only Srpska lista was working in the interest of Serbs, and added that Pristina was targeting it for that very reason.

Earlier in the day, Srpska lista said five of its representatives - Igor Simic, Ivan Zaporozec, Ivan Todosijevic, Zoran Todic and Vasilije Tomasevic - had been summoned to appear before a prosecutor in Kosovska Mitrovica on August 13 as accused parties.

Srpska lista said the proceedings had been underway since a "Kosovo Police" raid of the buildings of Serbian institutions two years ago and that the representatives had been charged with alleged document forgery.

That means they are being prosecuted for heading Serbian institutions, which Pristina does not recognise, it also said.
