Djuric meets with head of ODIHR observation mission

BELGRADE - Serbian caretaker FM Marko Djuric met with ODIHR Observation Mission head Eoghan Murphy on Wednesday to discuss the electoral process and Serbia’s cooperation with the ODIHR.

Djuric noted that, through continuous dialogue, implementation of reforms and work on ODIHR recommendations, Serbia had demonstrated a clear commitment to further advancement of the electoral framework and strengthening of democratic institutions, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

Djuric said Serbia would continue open and constructive cooperation with the ODIHR in the spirit of transparency, mutual trust and respect for Serbian institutions.

The ODIHR mission, tasked with observing the period in the run-up to the October 25 early parliamentary elections in Serbia, began its work on Wednesday.
