Djuric meets with St Lucia's FM on sidelines of UNGA session

NEW YORK - Serbian caretaker FM Marko Djuric met on Wednesday in New York with St Lucia's FM Alva Romanus Baptiste and thanked the country for supporting the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

The ministers met on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session.

Recalling their previous meeting at the Organisation of American States General Assembly session in Antigua and Barbuda last year, Djuric reiterated that Serbia attached great significance to the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Djuric again extended an invitation to the minister to come to Serbia, and noted that his visit would lend a positive momentum to the dynamic of the relations between the two countries.

Thanking St Lucia for supporting the preservation of Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, Djuric noted that consistent respect for international law and advocacy of diplomatic solutions were common principles governing the foreign policies of both countries, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.
