Vucic meets with Wadephul in New York

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met on Thursday in New York with German FM Johann Wadephul, noting that Serbia wants to continue to develop its relations with Germany as one of its most important European partners through even stronger political, economic and regional cooperation.

"An important and substantial discussion with Minister Johann Wadephul about Serbia-Germany relations, our country's European path and key issues for stability in the region," Vucic posted on Instagram.

"We also discussed the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, the need to preserve peace and stability in our region as well as on the European continent, as well as the UN's important role in preservation of international peace, security and respect for international law," Vucic wrote in the post.

He reiterated that Belgrade remained committed to the EU path and would continue to work responsibly with European and international partners in the interest of Serbia and its citizens.
