Brnabic, Varhelyi discuss economic projects

BRUSSELS - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday she had had a constructive discussion with EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi about economic projects.

"We discussed projects that affect regional progress and economic development, the importance of mutual cooperation, and the large upcoming Digital Europe program," Brnabic wrote on Twitter.

In a post on his Twitter account, Varhelyi said the meeting had addressed "the recently announced new growth plan for the region."

"It’s important that Serbia and the region seize the momentum to speed up and deepen reforms. The EU supports Serbia on its EU path," he added.

Brnabic is on a one-day visit to Brussels.
