Drecun: Kurti to escalate terror

BELGRADE - The chairman of the Serbian parliamentary committee on Kosovo-Metohija Milovan Drecun said on Tuesday recent deadly clashes in the north of Kosovo-Metohija were a result of horrible terror wreaked by the regime of Pristina's PM Albin Kurti.

Speaking to the RTS, Drecun said Kurti would not only continue but also escalate the terror under the pretext of investigations.

Motivated by Kurti's policy regarding Serbs, ethnic Albanian extremists are further encouraged to attack the Serbs and Kurti is using the situation to achieve his goals, Drecun said.

"They immediately launched a systematic internal campaign to demonstrate that this is about a terrorist group and to link it with Belgrade and, in parallel, they are preparing a crackdown on Srpska lista," Drecun said.

That means that, in the period to come, there will be demands to ban Srpska lista activities and participation in any future elections to eliminate the factor of Serb unity and ties with Belgrade from Pristina's political scene, Drecun said.
