Vucevic: It is good we had opportunity to reiterate Kurti is not meeting commitments

BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Milos Vucevic said President Aleksandar Vucic had reiterated during meetings with European leaders in Brussels on Thursday that Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was not meeting commitments from the Brussels Agreement and that Serbia would never accept UN membership for Kosovo or recognise its southern province as independent.

"It is good we had an opportunity for Serbia and the president to reiterate that there has been no implementation of the Brussels Agreement for 11 years now. Of course we are ready to talk about all proposals except those that include independence for Kosovo and a UN seat for Kosovo. We do not accept any form of de facto or de iure recognition of Kosovo as an independent state," Vucevic said on Happy TV.

He said everything, including seals and customs declarations, could be discussed, except things leading to independence for Kosovo.

"Everything can be on the table - first and foremost, a Community of Serb Municipalities and protection of the people in Kosovo-Metohija," Vucevic said.
