Vucic: Removal of barricades to begin Thursday morning, mistrust remains

RASKA - After a meeting with Kosovo-Metohija Serbs in Raska, southwestern Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said a removal of barricades put up by Serb protesters in the north of the province would begin on Thursday morning.

It cannot be done in two hours, but the barricades will be removed within 24 or 48 hours, Vucic said, noting that a feeling of mistrust remained.

"The conclusions of Serbs from the barricades are that they will shut off the north of Kosovo-Metohija to Pristina institutions forever in case arrests of Serbs continue, and they want a clear confirmation that there will never be a recognition of Kosovo in any form," Vucic said.
