Flights between Serbia, Israel to resume next Friday - consul

TEL AVIV - Flights between Serbia and Israel will resume next Friday, with Israeli airline Arkia to fly to Belgrade twice a week, Serbia's Honorary Consul to Israel Aleksandar Nikolic said on Friday.

"Contacts have been established with Arkia - one of the three airlines in Israel - about them resuming direct flights to the Nikola Tesla Airport starting from Friday, November 10," Nikolic said in a statement to Tanjug.

He said the flights would be of great importance to all Serbians living and working in Israel who now wish to leave the war-affected country.

This is also important as a "form of normalising communication and everything that is needed by businesspeople on both sides," Nikolic said.
