Removal of barricades begins in north of Kosovo-Metohija

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - A removal of barricades in the north of Kosovo-Metohija has begun and is expected to be completed by the evening, a Tanjug correspondent on the ground reports.

Barricades at Rudare and Ibarska Slatina are also being removed.

Residents are still gathered on the sites and are waiting for the barricades to be removed before they can leave.

The Brnjak and Jarinje administrative crossings remain closed, while the Merdare crossing is open to traffic following a removal of barricades in the morning.
