Vucic: Kissinger's legacy now more essential than ever

BELGRADE - In a reaction to the passing of US diplomat and Nobel Peace Prize winner Henry Kissinger, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday Kissinger had been a statesman whose opinions "garnered respect from the East and West."

"Today, the political legacy of Henry Kissinger is more essential than ever. As a statesman, his opinions garnered respect from the East and West, and I am confident that his words will continue to inspire all those striving for global peace and prosperity. May he rest in peace," Vucic wrote in post on the social media network X.

Kissinger died on Wednesday at his home in Connecticut at the age of 100.
