BELGRADE - At an extraordinary press conference, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said opposition parties and NGOs including CRTA were directly trying to destabilise Serbia and erode its constitutional order.
There is no normal and democratic country where that happens, Brnabic said.
Commenting on alleged electoral irregularities cited by CRTA - whose observers monitored the December 17 elections - Brnabic said the NGO had taken no note of any irregularities in formal records and made no submissions about the issue to the national electoral commission, the City of Belgrade electoral commission or the prosecutor's office.
She said she had eagerly awaited a press conference announced by CRTA to hear "what it is that they have to say publicly but not to institutions."
Brnabic noted that she had heard the same as everyone else in Serbia - "a big nothing."
"What is it that we heard today? What did we see? Nothing. We heard insinuations, conjectures, half-information, quasi-analyses, anonymous tip-offs," she said.
"It is all nicely packaged together for a political context that is convenient to them (the opposition), as is usually the case and as was also the case in the electoral campaign," Brnabic said.
