BELGRADE - In a New Year message to Serbians, President Aleksandar Vucic said 2023 had been a difficult and challenging year, not only for Serbia but for the entire world as well.
"However, with a hope and a strength that few peoples have, our country has decided and confirmed that there is no stopping. The citizens have given us enormous trust to continue to build the smile of our Serbia, invest in education, science, health care, infrastructure and general development while cooperating with everyone and maintaining traditional friendships," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
Serbia no longer waits for opportunities, but creates them, he said.
"And when it gets even more difficult, we remember why we have started all this and who we are doing this for, and then every effort becomes easier to make. Dear citizens of Serbia, I wish you all the best, health, success and prosperity! May we welcome every next year with joy and hope, confident that we can make all dreams come true for our families and our only, most beautiful and proud Serbia! Happy New Year to us all! Let's keep going! Long live Serbia!" Vucic noted in the post.
