BELGRADE - Whenever Germany showed concern for Serbia, that did not end well, Republika Srpska Senator Aleksandar Vulin, who was until recently head of Serbia's Security Information Agency, said on Tuesday, noting that Germany's concern had never been about Serbia's well-being.
Vulin said this in response to a statement by Bundestag member Josip Juratovic that Serbia and its authorities would face the consequences of "electoral irregularities."
"When Germans want to tell the Serbs something they know is neither wise nor honourable, they use the Croats. In the same way, when it wants to interfere in Serbia's electoral process, the German government sends Juratovic to say something that can harm Serbia without being binding to Germany. I do not know whether decisions in Germany can be made by an MP rather than by a court but, in Serbia, decisions are made by institutions. So now we, Serbs, can teach the Germans a lesson about something without them having to start a world war over that lesson," Vulin said.
