Vucic: Excellent discussion with von der Leyen

DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos on Thursday.

"An excellent and important discussion with Ursula von der Leyen about geopolitical challenges and strategically important issues for Serbia, with focus on plans to implement the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which should strengthen and bring closer together our economies and societies," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

He noted that Serbia was ready to use that assistance in the best way possible on its path of modernisation.

Vucic also said he had especially thanked von der Leyen for her personal engagement and understanding of the situation in the Western Balkans and for supporting Serbia's EU path.
