BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received a courtesy visit from new Slovak Ambassador to Serbia Michal Pavuk on Tuesday.
In an open and cordial conversation, the parties agreed bilateral relations between the two countries were traditionally very good and friendly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia said in a statement.
Dacic and Pavuk said they were pleased their countries maintained exceptional political relations and noted that the two sides needed to work on - and were ready for - stepping up bilateral political dialogue at all levels.
Dacic noted that Belgrade very highly appreciated Slovakia's principled support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
He thanked Slovakia for its continued support for the EU integration of Serbia as well as for its understanding for Serbia's positions on continuing the process.
Pavuk said Slovakia would continue to provide firm support for Serbia's EU integration.
He said he was pleased to note that he hoped the Slovak national minority in Serbia would remain an integral part of bilateral relations.
