BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic met with US State Department Counsellor Derek Chollet on Thursday, noting Serbia's strategic commitment to advancement of all forms of cooperation with the US.
He also said the two countries and peoples should continue to recall their historical alliance in order to strengthen bilateral relations further.
The parties expressed a commitment to stepped-up political dialogue and an exchange of visits by high-ranking and top state officials of the two countries.
Dacic expressed readiness to visit the US in the near future.
They exchanged views on regional issues and the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as possibilities for progress in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
Chollet conveyed US President Joseph Biden's interest in reaching full regional stability and prosperity for all citizens in the Western Balkans, and welcomed Dacic's readiness to visit Washington and said he hoped they would meet again soon.
