Vucevic: Defence ministry staying in safe hands

BELGRADE - Handing over the duty of defence minister to his successor Bratislav Gasic, Serbia's new PM Milos Vucevic said he believed the Ministry of Defence was staying in safe hands.

"It was a great honour to be in charge of the defence ministry and serve our greatest ideal: a free and independent Serbia," Vucevic wrote in a post on the social media network X.

He especially thanked all aides and colleagues at the MoD for their diligent and self-sacrificing work and wished them much luck and success in the future.

"I believe the MoD is staying in safe hands and that Minister Gasic will continue on the path of development and strengthening of the heroic Serbian army," Vucevic noted.
