Vucic to meet with presidents of Egypt, France

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday evening Serbia would soon sign a FTA with Egypt and announced that he would meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in a month or a month and a half and that he also expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in about a month.

"We have so many things, many important things, we will soon have a FTA with Egypt and a FTA with the Emirates. I will meet with al-Sisi in a month or a month and a half," Vucic told the RTS, adding that he also expected to meet with Macron in about a month.

"So, major, important visits are ahead of us, and many important things we must also do with (EU officials) Oliver Varhelyi and (Gert Jan) Koopman and the EU about the Growth Agenda and many other things. Decisions that will not be easy to make are ahead of us, a Ukraine summit will be held in Luzern, Switzerland, and we will see what we will do and what position we will take," Vucic said.

Asked if Serbia would attend the summit, Vucic said decisions on the matter would be made in the days ahead.

"Politics must be a matter of principles and a serious approach, and a matter of doing the best thing for your people," Vucic said.
