BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic met with Angolan FM Tete Antonio in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss strengthening of bilateral cooperation, with special emphasis on the economy and education.
Vucevic noted that Serbia was exceptionally appreciative of Angola's support on the issue of territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as of its firm position of not recognising the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, an official statement said.
He especially thanked Angola for not supporting a UN General Assembly resolution on Srebremica, which he noted would bring no good to either Serbia or Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vucevic also thanked Angola for backing Serbia's successful bid to host EXPO 2027.
Vucevic noted that Serbia attached great importance to further advancement of overall cooperation with Angola, based on mutual trust and friendship between the two states and the two nations, which he said dated back to the era of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Antonio reiterated that Angola maintained a principled position on Serbia's sovereignty and that the position would not be changed.
