BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Friday Pristina's decision to ban goods from central Serbia, which entered into force a year ago, was disgraceful and anticivilisational but had elicited no reaction from the international community.
"It is the most drastic violation of the human rights of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, aimed at their expulsion. It is absolutely inconceivable that fundamental European values - above all, freedom of movement of goods, people, services and capital - are being trampled in the heart of Europe," Petkovic noted in a statement to the RTS.
He said almost no one except Belgrade had reacted to the year-long ban even though Serbian officials had turned to representatives of the international community dozens of times about the issue.
