Kosovo-Metohija Serb arrested in Leposavic

LEPOSAVIC - A Serb man identified by the initials S L was arrested in Leposavic, Kosovo-Metohija on Thursday for alleged war crimes against civilians in Djakovica during the conflict in Kosovo-Metohija in 1998 and 1999, the so-called Kosovo Police said in a statement.

It said the man had been charged with war crimes on June 20 following a months-long investigation.

It also said the suspect's Leposavic home had been searched and that he was currently being interrogated.

On Wednesday afternoon, another Serb man was arrested in Kosovska Mitrovica for alleged espionage and placed in 48-hour police detention.
