BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday the situation among Kosovo-Metohija Serbs was boiling because they no longer wanted to tolerate Pristina PM Albin Kurti's terror, and that Serbs living south of the Ibar River were close to a decision to leave Pristina's institutions while Serbs in the north of Kosovo-Metohija were close to deciding not to let anyone enter that part of the province.
"Everything is boiling, people cannot tolerate that anymore. No one wants to tolerate Kurti's terror any longer, but no one is willing to hear that. If this is a way for me to be heard, then I have done a good thing for my people and my country," Vucic said at a joint press conference with EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi.
He said he had informed Varhelyi of Serbia's views on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and reminded him of all past developments.
He said he had no regrets about what he had said on Thursday in a reaction to Kurti's decision to name Serb Nenad Rasic Pristina's minister of communities and return.
"Perhaps I should have used diplomatic language, but had I not acted in the way I did, would anyone have heard of what has been going on since the beginning of the year?" he said.
