PARACIN - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday's live ammunition military exercise Fire Strike 2024 at the Pasuljanske livade training range in central Serbia had primarily focused on UAVs and their links with other systems and that Serbian-made Komarac 2 (Mosquito 2) UAVs had been seen in action for the first time.
Vucic announced the first 1,000 Komarac 2 UAVs were expected to be produced by September.
He said he was proud of what he and the Serbian citizens had been able to see during the exercise.
"We were able to see the Komarac 2 SM1 in action for the first time, we were able to see 12 BD2 bombs dropped for the first time, if I am not mistaken. We were able to see the unmanned Mali Milos (Little Milos) carry ammunition, as well as machine gun and rocket launcher fire by Mali Milos, which was extremely accurate," Vucic said.
"We were able to see exceptional hits by PASARS, Kornet, and the use of missiles, and of course, 40 mm cannons, by PASARS," he added.
