BELGRADE - At an electronic session held on Thursday, the Senate of the University of Belgrade set up two expert working groups that will assess the degree of fulfilment of the demands made to Serbian authorities by students who are blocking university buildings.
A statement signed by University of Belgrade Rector Vladan Djokic said the working groups were comprised of the University's professors who were experts in various fields.
The task of the groups is to prepare a report that will be based on available documentation and an expert analysis and presented to the extended Rector's Collegium and student plenums.
The groups' role is to ensure an expert opinion to enable the plenums to make informed decisions on further steps and based on proven facts, the statement also said.
Groups of students continue to block faculty buildings, demanding that the four demands they made at the beginning of protests be met, while representatives of authorities say all of the demands have been met and call on the students to specify which demands they consider unfulfilled.
