Patient seriously injured in Novi Sad overhang collapse dies at VMA

BELGRADE - A patient who was seriously injured in the November 1 deadly overhang collapse at the Novi Sad railway station died at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade on Friday.

In a statement, the VMA said the 18-year-old male patient identified with the initials V C had been admitted to the clinic on January 29 after being treated at the Vojvodina Clinical Centre in Novi Sad.

"In spite of all undertaken treatment measures and maximum dedication from the VMA staff, the patient succumbed to complex injuries and the resulting complications," the VMA said, extending its deepest condolences to the patient's family.
