BELGRADE - Serbian police have arrested 18 people to date on suspicion of physically attacking student Milos Pavlovic and a group of his colleagues who want to study.
The attack took place in New Belgrade's Student City university campus on Wednesday evening.
The Interior Ministry said on Friday the police had identified and arrested seven more people suspected of involvement in the attack after arresting 11 other suspects on Thursday.
The seven were identified as C R, aged 23, R S, aged 22, N B, aged 22, T S, aged 23, V R, aged 22, N V, aged 23, and A G, aged 22.
In a statement, the ministry also said the police had detained V M, aged 39, and P S, aged 31, for hurling insults at police officers during a protest against the arrests outside the New Belgrade police station on Thursday evening.
In collaboration with the competent prosecutor's office, the police continue to work on identifying and detaining other people involved in the incident, as well as on establishing all facts and circumstances regarding the case, the statement also said.
