BELGRADE - The wife of Aleksandar Nesovic, a man believed to have been killed in a restaurant in Belgrade's Senjak district, appeared for a hearing at the Higher Public Prosecutors' Office in Belgrade on Friday.

Testifying as the injured party, the woman confirmed that her husband had had no conflict with former Belgrade police chief Veselin Milic and that the two had had no joint dealings whatsoever, Tanjug learns.

She also said Milic had not invited her husband to come to the restaurant without security guards.

However, she said Nesovic had been in conflict with Sasa "Boske" Vukovic, who has been arrested on suspicion of killing him.

Nesovic went missing on May 12.

To date, ten people have been arrested over their involvement in the murder.

On Thursday, in the Indjija municipality in northwestern Serbia, police retrieved a body believed to be that of Nesovic.

The body was found inside a barrel.
