Vucic: Missing toddler killed, two people arrested

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday Danka Ilic, a two-year-old girl from Bor, eastern Serbia, who went missing last Tuesday, had been killed and that two people who had admitted to having committed the crime had been arrested.

"We have bad news about the child from Bor - Danka Ilic was killed. The police have arrested two people for killing Danka and my understanding is that both of them have admitted to having committed the act," Vucic said at an extraordinary session of the Serbian government.

He said the police were on their way to the location where the child's body had been disposed of by the killers.

Vucic also thanked the police for their "great efforts and engagement."
