Djokovic advances to Australian Open round of last 16

MELBOURNE - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Australian Open round of last 16 after defeating Czech Tomas Machac 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 in Melbourne on Friday.

Djokovic won after two hours and 24 minutes of play.

He will next face another Czech, Jiri Lehecka, who beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 after an hour and 49 minutes of play.
