Djokovic/Verdasco lose in Doha quarter-finals

DOHA - The Serbian-Spanish pairing of Novak Djokovic and Fernando Verdasco has failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the men's doubles event at the Doha tennis tournament after a 7-5, 6-4 quarter-final defeat to Harri Heliovaara of Finland and Henry Patten of Great Britain on Wednesday.

Second seeds Heliovara and Patten won after an hour and 22 minutes of play.

In the first round of the men's singles event, Djokovic lost to Italian Matteo Berrettini on Tuesday.

The prize money in Doha is 2,760,000 dollars.
