If he wins, he will play Australian Alex de Minaur in the second round.
Serbia's Laslo Djere will face a qualifier in the first round and Hamad Medjedovic will take on Argentine Tomas Martín Etcheverry.
In a bid to qualify for the main draw, Dusan Lajovic will play Argentine Thiago Agustin Tirante in the first qualifying round.
The defending champion at the April 23-May 4 tournament is Russian Andrey Rublev.
