Danilovic loses to Alexandrova in Madrid Masters second round

MADRID - Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovic has failed to qualify for the third round of the Madrid Masters tournament after losing 6-3, 6-4 to Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in the second round on Friday.

World number 22 Alexandrova won after an hour and 24 minutes of play.

Danilovic is 34th in the WTA rankings.

The prize money at the WTA tournament in Madrid is 7,854,000 euros.
