Danilovic to face Siniakova in Rome opening round

ROME - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player Olga Danilovic was on Monday drawn to face Czech Katerina Siniakova in the opening round of the WTA tournament in Rome.

Danilovic ranks 33rd in the WTA rankings, while Siniakova is in 62nd place.

Danilovic is 1-0 head-to-head against Siniakova.

The winner of the tie will face Chinese Qinwen Zheng in the second round.

The prize money at the May 6-18 WTA tournament in Rome is 6,009,593 euros.

The defending champion is Pole Iga Swiatek, who defeated Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in last season's final.
