Kecmanovic through to Roland Garros second round

PARIS - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic is through to the second round of the Roland Garros tournament after beating Argentine Sebastian Baez 6-7 (3-7), 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round on Monday.

Kecmanovic won after three hours and 51 minutes of play.

The Serbian will next face Frenchman Quentin Halys, who advanced to the second round after Czech Tomas Machac retired from their first-round match.
