Medjedovic through to second round at Mallorca ATP tournament

SANTA PONSA - Serbian tennis player Hamad Medjedovic is through to the second round of the Mallorca ATP tournament after a 6-4, 6-0 victory over world number 99 Nishesh Basavareddy of the US in the opening round on Monday.

Medjedovic, who is 73rd in the ATP rankings, won after 64 minutes of play.

He will next face Russian Roman Safiullin.

The prize money at the tournament is 596,035 euros.
