LONDON - Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic was on Friday drawn to play Frenchman Alexandre Muller in the opening round of this year's edition of the tournament, and cannot face reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz before another potential final against the Spaniard.
Britons Dan Evans and Jay Clarke are Djokovic's potential opponents in the second round.
In the third round, he could face compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic or American Alex Michelsen - who will meet in the opening round - and is most likely to play Czech Tomas Machac or Australian Alex de Minaur in the fourth round.
In the potential quarter-final, Djokovic could play Briton Jack Drapier or Kazakh Alexander Bublik and is projected to take on world number one Jannik Sinner of Italy in the semi-finals.
Barring any major surprises at the tournament, the projected quarter-finals are Djokovic v Drapier, Sinner v Lorenzo Musetti, Taylor Fritz v Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune v Alcaraz.
Serbian Hamad Medjedovic will face Austrian Sebastian Ofner in the first round, with his compatriot Laslo Djere to take on Russian Andrey Rublev.
Serbia's Olga Danilovic was drawn to play Chinese Zhang Shuai in the first round of the women's singles event.
