LONDON - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic is through to the second round of the men's singles event at Wimbledon after a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (10-6) victory over American Alex Michelsen in the opening round on Tuesday.
Kecmanovic, who won after three hours and 13 minutes of play, will next face the winner of the tie between Dutchman Jesper De Jong and American Christopher Eubanks.
Serbia's Hamad Medjedovic withdrew from his first-round match against Austrian Sebastian Ofner due to injury.
Medjedovic was losing 6-7 (8-10), 1-3.
Serbians Dusan Lajovic and Laslo Djere have also suffered early exits from the tournament, losing to Briton Billy Harris and Russian Andrey Rublev, respectively, in the opening round on Monday.
In the women's singles, Serbia's Nina Stojanovic lost to Russian Anna Kalinskaya 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) in the first round on Tuesday.
