Serbia sink Japan at water polo world championship

SINGAPORE - The Serbia men's national water polo team is through to the quarter-finals at the World Aquatic Championships in Singapore after a 21-14 (5-2, 4-3, 9-3, 3-6) win over Japan in the round of 16 on Friday.
Strahinja Rasovic and Boris Vapenski led the scoring for Serbia with four goals each and Milos Cuk and Djordje Lazic followed with three goals each.
In the quarter-finals, Serbia will face the US.
