Serbia loses to Turkey at EuroBasket 2025

RIGA - The Serbia men's national basketball team lost 95-90 to Turkey in the last game of the group stage at EuroBasket 2025 in Riga on Wednesday evening and will face Finland in the round of last 16 on Saturday.

Alperen Sengun led Turkey to victory with 28 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, while Nikola Jokic stood out for Serbia with 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Towards the end of the first half, Serbia's Aleksa Avramovic picked up a heel injury and was substituted for the rest of the game.

With four wins and one defeat, Serbia finished in second place in the group table behind Turkey, which has five wins out of as many games and will next face Sweden.
