Alcaraz retakes ATP rankings top spot, Djokovic moves up to fourth place

BELGRADE - Serbia's highest-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has moved up by three positions to fourth place in the latest ATP rankings with 4,830 points, while Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is back in the top spot with 11,540 points after defeating Italian Jannik Sinner in the US Open final on Sunday.

With 10,780 points, Sinner has slipped from the number one position to second place and is followed by German Alexander Zverev (5,930) in third place.

Djokovic, Americans Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton, Briton Jack Draper, Australian Alex de Minaur, Italian Lorenzo Musetti and Russian Karen Khachanov round out the top ten.

In Friday's US Open semi-finals, Alcaraz defeated Djokovic 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 after two hours and 23 minutes of play.
