Djokovic to play at Shanghai Masters

SHANGHAI - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic will play at the upcoming Shanghai Masters, the organisers confirmed on Tuesday.

They said Djokovic, a four-time winner of the Chinese Masters and last year's finalist, would be competing at the October 1-12 tournament.

Djokovic's last match this season was in the US Open semi-finals, where he was defeated by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz.
