Serbia out of volleyball men's world championship after losing to Iran

PASAY CITY - Serbia has failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in the Philippines after a 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-22, 15-9) defeat to Iran in the round of 16 in Pasay City on Tuesday.
Drazen Luburic led the scoring for Serbia with 27 points and was followed by Miran Kujundzic (17 pts), Aleksandar Nedeljkovic (13 pts) and Pavle Peric (12 pts).
Ali Haaji-pour and Morteza Sharifi stood out for Iran with 23 points each.
