Krunic, Danilina through to Beijing women's doubles quarter-finals

BEIJING - The Serbian-Kazakh duo of Aleksandra Krunic and Anna Danilina is through to the quarter-finals of the women's doubles at the Beijing WTA tennis tournament after a 7-5, 3-6, 10-7 victory over the Russian-US pair of Liudmila Samsonova and Nicole Melichar-Martinez in the round of last 16 on Tuesday.

Krunic and Danilina, who won after an hour and 34 minutes of play, will next face the winners of the tie between the Czech-Australian pairing of Karolina Muchova and Priscilla Hon and the US-Dutch duo of Asia Muhammad and Demi Schuurs.

The prize money at the WTA tournament in Beijing is 8,963,700 dollars.
